ADDITIONAL ATLANTIC SURVEY LINES

Data Announcement 1979N-N

The National Geophysical Data Center (now the National Centers for Environmental Information) is making available additional CDP seismic reflection data (lines 7, 8, 11, 12, and 13). These data were collected as part of a program by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to survey the geological framework of the United States coastal areas.

These data were collected by Digicon Geophysical Corporation in 1975 using a 48-channel streamer (3600 m long) and a 27.9-cubic liter airgun array. The processing, which was performed by William C. Patterson (USGS, Denver) on the Phoenix "I", included: demultiplexing and resampling, geometry and common-depth point definition, velocity analysis, noise muting, bandpass filtering, time-variant filtering, time-variant deconvolution, and automatic gain control (AGC) scaling. Sections are available in full scale (2.5 inches/sec) only.

Lines 7, 8, 11, 12, and 13 are available on sepia and blackline.
