11.G.ii. GUNZIP the Compressed Data from the Web Site Any data with a .gz extension must be uncompressed with GUNZIP. The command syntax may be one of these: gunzip inputfilename gzip -d inputfilename This will uncompress the data, remove the .gz file extension, and delete the compressed .gz file. Note that you must have enough hard disk space to uncompress a file.
